*UPDATE: So it seems like this was a bug. The app is no longer showing reviews from all countries. Too bad!
Apple released an update to their iOS Podcasts app in the last few days, and as usual they rolled out a few bug fixes and new features.

One of the new features that hasn’t been talked about much has to do with the way the app displays user reviews.
See, in the past, if you were logged into the US iTunes Store, you would only see reviews from US users. Likewise, if you were logged into the Canadian iTunes Store, you would only see reviews from Canadian iTunes users.
As a podcast producer, that was a bit of a challenge. If my podcast had dozens of reviews in the US, a user in Australia would not be able to see them. Also, for me to keep track of reviews from all iTunes stores, I would have to go on my Mac and run the CommentCasts app, which would show all reviews from all countries.
The latest release of the iOS Podcasts apparently corrected this inconvenience.
Now when you find a podcast in the podcast store and tap “Reviews,” you are presented with all reviews from all iTunes stores around the world. Pretty neat!
One reply on “Latest update of the Podcasts app has a great new feature”
Podcast is a very beneficial tool for those who don’t have enough time to read and want info on current events.
